Olá pessoal!
Yian and I had a fantastic weekend! We had the opportunity to spend a few days in Rio de Janeiro, and wow! Rio is such a beautiful, vibrant city, and it was an amazing experience to spend 3 days exploring!
Take a look at some pictures I took:
The Selaron Steps. Tucked away in the Lapa neighborhood, this amazing piece of art took 22 years to finish! We got to meet the artist, who was there painting in the morning.
Rio's massive Cathedral. The inside has the most amazing stained glass, but unfortunately my camera died before I could take a picture.
Cristo Redentor (Christ the Redeemer)
A view of Rio from the top of Corcovado, the mountain that Cristo Redentor sits on top of.
Monday was mostly cold and rainy, but Yian and I still managed to walk around the Tijuca National Park long enough to find this waterfall.
The Leblon beach, early on Tuesday morning
We’re back to work here at the hospital now. Lots of projects to start wrapping up – it’s hard to believe that we’re really only going to be here for two more weeks. And one of those weeks we’ll be headed out to Mato Grosso with the Mobile Unit, so it’s time to get cracking!
Tchau!
